Successfully started and franchised a tutoring business across South Africa and Botswana.
Designed and developed a heart valve replacement for the developing world.
Initiated and funded a number of social investment programs benefiting impoverished communities while stimulating maths and science.
My idea worth spreading
I’m a proud dweller of Jozi, South Africa. I’m an engineer by qualification, but work in the financial services industry. These different areas have lead me through a short but diverse career working with medical implant designs, to selling online media monitoring software, to project management of government projects. I also started a few little sideline businesses, from which I’ve learnt a lot. I’m currently a “Class of” at Rand Merchant Bank and am making my career there.
What I love to do
I love to solve complex problems through innovative and lateral thinking. This can be purely conceptual, or materialise into something concrete - in a manufactured product, a handmade wooden piece or a scripted argument.
Who I am
I care about making the world a better place, even if it’s one small step at a time.
