THANK YOU to Alicia and the other organisers, for creating a space where my brain could be fried with pure concentrated awesomeness.
You guys pulled off an AWESOME event, and I don't think it could have been better organised or friendlier if it was done by TED themselves. I'd be first in line to attend the next one.
You were visibly emotional at the end of the event, and I can understand why. It shows that this was a big dream for you guys, and that you put a hell of a lot of energy and focus into it. The registration was painless, the catering was super, the speakers were beyond amazing and the whole event left me with a feeling of it being very well organised.
This event opened my eyes to a new world. It was like an acid trip for the soul. (I should copyright that one; I can see a new self-help book there)
I saw, for the first time in my life, the full capacity of human kindness, understanding, and collaboration. I felt a sense of kinship with everyone there.
The energy in the room was tangible, and I was hypnotised from Iain's deep and touching talk, straight through to the very enjoyable ending. I must admit that there were a few talks that left me with a tear in my eye, simply because it was so beautiful to see what happens when people start 'being the change'.
This event has given me an insight into what it means to be human, and it has left me with a few questions about the purpose of life, and where I fit into all of this.
Thank you.
