Thank you so much everybody...thank you for a wonderful 2010 event and for all the love and connection and warmth. We CAN make a difference - we can invent low-tech inventions to prevent high scary problems, we can pour wealth into South Africa by creating education opportunities, we can save our oceans by eating one less fish meal a week, we can bring the wildlife back by planting indigenous, we can create healthy water supplies and food security and sustainable housing... we CAN make a difference. We can give and do and feel AMAZING!

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxJohannesburg, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxJohannesburg event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
